TREEHOUSE FOLK GUIDES

Questions to ask before booking a treehouse

A few specific questions are more useful than “Does it have everything?” Use the ones that matter to your trip, and ask the host to clarify anything the listing leaves open.

The room and the route

Check the route outside as well as the room itself. Hideout’s single-level interior does not mean the path outside is step-free. No access label in our directory is an accessibility certification.

The people and the privacy

The differences are real: The Nest is adults-only, while Warbler welcomes children age 10 and older under its stated policy. Hideout’s own listing states two guests; the Vrbo listing we checked showed one. Confirm the number with the host rather than assuming the larger one.

The practical comforts

A heated soaking tub is not necessarily the same amenity as a hot tub, and the presence of a tub does not establish exclusivity. Our filters keep those distinctions. If you are still choosing the kind of stay, begin with what to expect on your first visit.
